The 4Ex model is my way of thinking about innovation and how it fits with everything else going on in an organisation.
It's a model of the different behaviours needed to manage organisational capabilities through their lifecycles: from Experimenting with ideas, Exploring promising ones, Exploting those that deliver substantial value and Exhausting every last drop of benefit until they Expire. That's five Ex's - but never mind.
The model has been used extensively in some of the most complex digital organisations in world.
